C. Notes on individual processing operations

In order to assure fair and transparent processing, we also refer you to the following:

1. Server log files

When you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically collected. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your internet service provider, your IP address and similar information.

In particular, this is processed for the following purposes:

  • Ensuring an error-free connection to the website,
  • Ensuring the smooth use of our website,
  • Ensuring the evaluation of system security and stability, and
  • for other administrative purposes.

We also reserve the right to check the server log files retrospectively if there are specific indications of illegal use.

The processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) Letter f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website.

We use technical service providers for the operation and maintenance of our website who act as our processors.

The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected. This is generally the case for data used to provide the website when the respective session has ended.

The provision of the aforementioned personal data is neither legally nor contractually required. However, without the IP address and the cookie identifier, the service and functionality of our website cannot be guaranteed. In addition, individual services may not be available or may be restricted.

2. Newsletter delivery

Your data is exclusively used for delivering the subscribed newsletter to you by email, and, insofar as you have also consented hereto, for evaluating how you use the newsletter and, if appropriate, other content linked to the newsletter.

Your name is indicated in order to be able to address you personally in the newsletter and, if appropriate, to identify you, should you wish to exercise your rights as a data subject.

The legal basis for these processing operations in each case is your consent, Article 6 (1) Sentence 1 Letter a) GDPR. We use a service provider, who acts as our processor, for delivery and, if appropriate, for analyses that are made. We process no data in third countries in this connection.

Data is processed in connection herewith only if the corresponding consent is given. This is deleted after this. You can revoke your consent by clicking once on the corresponding link at the end of each newsletter. For more information on this, please refer to the data subject rights.

Your personal data is made available voluntarily, and only on the basis of your consent. Unfortunately, we cannot send you our newsletter unless you have given your consent.

If you have given us your consent, we will evaluate your use of the newsletters sent and evaluate the subsequent visits to the BAYERN TOURISMUS Marketing GmbH website, in order to further improve the newsletter and the website and to optimise it according to the actual interests of the visitors.
