In chef Jockl Kaiser’s “Meyers Keller”, traditional fare meets gourmet standards with delicious results.
Bavarian cuisine with a twist
From brewery to Michelin-star restaurant, Jockl Kaiser has transformed his family’s heritage into a distinctive culinary experience. At first glance, his restaurant Meyers Keller has all the charm of a traditional Bavarian inn, with a beer garden beneath lime trees, a rustic dining room, a historic brewery cellar and a menu inspired by regional cuisine. The dishes, however, are prepared with a modern approach and presented with creative flair at a high culinary level. Chef Jockl Kaiser combines regional classics such as stuffed cabbage and blood sausage with contemporary fine dining. His own Culatello Riserva ham is also appreciated by food lovers across Europe. Despite his experience and recognition, Kaiser still describes himself as a “trainee” – always curious, eager to learn and open to new ideas.
