Three siblings, one passion for hospitality – “Xaver’s” is a restaurant where people feel at home.
Xaver's - where Munich meets
The “Xaver’s” inn in the heart of Munich, run by the Portenlänger siblings Jakob, Theresa and Xaver, is all about traditionally Bavarian and sustainable cuisine, using regional produce. Dining in the restaurant feels like being in a living room: Pine walls, rustic wooden tables and chairs with carved hearts, a wooden panelled ceiling and lamps made of antlers. At first glance, “Xaver’s” looks like a classic Bavarian inn. But there are little twists such as chic bar stools with velvet upholstery at a long table, where you can easily get into conversations with your fellow guests. “Xaver’s” is down-to-earth and stylish, traditional, and innovative, typically Bavarian and cosmopolitan in equal measures – the perfect mix for a great experience.

Munich’s Toy Museum is a great place for families. Located in the city’s Old Town Hall it showcases how toys have changed over time.
